Although the Tower of the Fragrance of the Buddha was burned down by the Anglo-French Allied Forces in 1860, but it's luckier than the Old Summer Palace (Yuanming Garden) which was destroyed by the Anglo-French Allied Forces in 1860 too and was not rebuilt.

I hope such horrible disaster will never recur again

On May 31 Lithuania Post issues a new postage stamp „20th ANNIVERSARY OF LITHUANIAN MOVEMENT „SĄJŪDIS“. (designer G. Reimeris). A first day cover and a first day sheet will be also issued.
In Vilnius Main Post Office the outgoing mail prepaid with the new stamps will be cancelled with a first day cancellation on this day.
